Organic . Natural . Quality

We are a couple who met travelling and we discovered we both had a passion for exploring local traditions and culture. We are also Scuba divers and have a huge love of the marine eco-system. This interest lead us to create natural and organic skincare products (especially sun lotion) firstly for our own use, then later after some success and prompting from friends we decided to make these products available to other like-minded users.

We started manufacturing our skincare products in Otaki, New Zealand, using natural and organic ingredients sourced from the forest and local suppliers. Currently these products are available online in NZ and in stock at a local cafe (The Gorge, Otaki)

We continued to keep travelling and discovered there is still local Artisan handicraft, healthy Cottage Industries and organically made products, tucked away in remote places around the globe.

While exploring the Himalayas in Northern India we discovered many small villages still hand making products from natural sources, similar to what we started with the skincare range. This inspired us to support local handicraft and make it available to end uses that wish to buy products direct from a Artisan and not from a large corporate, mass-produced source.

We are continuing to travel and are always looking for best quality products that are locally made and from natural and sustainable sources. We are in the process of establishing ways to also give back to these villages and communities with the profits we make (More on this to come!)

We prefer not to use a corporate based selling platform although we have some products available on etsy and facebook for now. Our goal is to move away from this and only sell on this website.

Meanwhile we will continue to find cool products for you direct from the local Artisans crafts people!

Buko Creations

Buko Creations began with our own handmade organic skincare products for personal use and after producing some successful balms we decided to make them available for sale. While travelling several countries we have come across many opportunities to connect manufacturers of organic and natural products to those that care about the environment and wish to support local communities rather than corporate mass-produced enterprises.

Our passion for nature, tradition and the local cuisines has driven us from the beginning, and continues to drive us into the future. The team at Buko Creations knows that every ingredient counts, and we strive to bring you highest quality and organically sourced products as possible.

In essence we are your only middleman, if you have come to our page to make a purchase we can guarantee you the products you receive will come directly from our factory or the local craftspeople we have met on our journey.

I was brought up in California and spent a good amount of time in South Lake Tahoe. I attended college at the University Of Reno, Nevada where I studied community health with an interest in addiction counseling. I shortly realized after graduating that I wanted to be my own boss and do something that I am passionate about.

That is what lead me to creating Buko Creations because I enjoy quality products that are ethically made and environmentally friendly.

My goal is to support local villages and provide my customers with unique products sourced all around the world.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, fishing, yoga and searching for artisans in some of the remotest places on earth.

I spent most of my career in New Zealand working in modern day society including procurement, manufacturing and engineering.

These days I love to cook authentic foods, play music, photography, travel to remote places and have a passion for exploring the cottage industries in Ancient cultures, finding local handicraft and organically grown flavours of food.

At Buko creations I create content and keep the accounts in order. I am also very particular to quality so I give my personal guarantee that our products will provide added value to the end user.
